Anlässlich des 50-jährigen Bestehen der Fachhochschule Kiel wurde am 24.05.2019 ein kleines Fest veranstaltet und als Highlight wurden Thundermother eingeladen, um den Laden zu rocken. Diese Veranstaltung wurde nicht wirklich beworben, ich bin über BandsInTown darauf aufmerksam geworden und so bestand das Publikum überwiegend aus  aktuellen und ehemaligen Studenten. Die Bühne stand vor einem großen Zelt, das mit den üblichen Bänken und Tischen ausgestattet war. Zu Beginn des Konzertes stand ich mit nur sehr wenigen anderen Leuten direkt vor der Bühne, der Rest saß im Zelt und wusste wohl noch nicht, was gleich passieren wird. Das es am Bass ein neues Gesicht zu bestaunen gab, war auch den wenigsten Besuchern bewusst. Für mich war es das erste Konzert mit Majsan als Mitglied von Thundermother. Nach den ersten Songs kam immer mehr Leute direkt vor die Bühne, trotzdem wurde beim ersten Singalong zu Revival nur vereinzelt mitgemacht. Die Mädels haben sich davon nicht aus dem Konzept bringen lassen und haben gerockt wie immer. Je länger das Konzert dauerte, um so mehr Leute kamen aus dem Zelt direkt vor die Bühne und haben mitgefeiert. Zum Ende des Konzertes habe ich zum bisher einzigen mal eine Wall of Death bei Thundermother erlebt. Für mich hat das Konzert gezeigt, dass die Mädels durch ihre Musik und ihre Leidenschaft auf der Bühne es immer schaffen, das Publikum zu begeistern. Seit dem Konzert letztes Jahr in Kiel ist es für mich zur Gewohnheit geworden, nach dem Konzert beim Merch auf die Band zu warten und ein paar Fotos zu machen und kurz zu plaudern.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Kiel University of Applied Sciences, a small party was held on May 24th, 2019 and as a highlight Thundermother were invited to rock the crowd. This event wasn’t really advertised, I found out about it through BandsInTown and so the audience consisted mostly of current and former students. The stage stood in front of a large tent, which was furnished with the usual benches and tables. At the beginning of the concert I was standing in front of the stage with very few other people, the rest were sitting in the tent and probably didn’t know what was about to happen. Even very few visitors were aware that there was a new face on the bass. For me it was the first concert with Majsan as a member of Thundermother. After the first songs, more and more people came right in front of the stage, but the first singalong for Revival was only occasionally taken part. The girls didn’t let that bother them and rocked as always. The longer the concert lasted, the more people came out of the tent directly in front of the stage and celebrated. At the end of the concert I experienced a wall of death at Thundermother for the only time so far. For me the concert showed that the girls always manage to inspire the audience through their music and their passion on stage. Since the concert last year in Kiel, it has become a habit for me to wait for the band at the merch after the concert and take a few photos and chat for a moment.
